The Silver Linings Playbook - Matthew Quick This is a story about a man’s struggle with mental depression that is not depressing at all. Instead, Pat’s narrative of the “movie” of his life is splashed with his humorous thoughts that kept me grinning from start to finish. Mathew Quick tells Pat’s quest for silver linings without the use of big words and in such a way that the reader feels like he/she is indeed watching a movie. There is also that element of intrigue on what really happened that brought Pat into the state of mental illness which additionally keeps the reader flipping through the pages. By the end, Mr. Bright Eyes finds a glowing silver lining which I think every reader who believes in silver linings would want him to have. After reading and loving this book, I’ll just have to watch the movie which stars, and appropriately so, bright-eyed Bradley Cooper.
Dancing at Midnight - Julia Quinn This is the second book in the Splendid Series. I have already read the first book in the series and this book makes Alex Ridgley, the hero in Splendid #1, a not-so-good businessman. He's a Duke and a rich one according to Splendid #1, then why didn't he buy the estate adjacent to his estate that John Blackwood bought? Also, I can't understand why John Blackwood felt so guilty about the rape of the Spanish girl, it's not as if he committed the crime himself. It may be understandable that he feels some guilt for a while after the incident but for him to take years in resolving that issue with himself makes me think that he is nuts.
A Walk to Remember - Nicholas Sparks A tearjerker so I've been warned.
Little Lord Fauntleroy (Penguin Popular Classics) - Frances Hodgson Burnett The Cedi: Ang Munting Prinsipe of my childhood. It surprised me how different the original story is from the animated cartoons version. Cedric's grandpa isn't that bad and there's this confusion with titles. Wouldn't you want your child to call you "Dearest," too?
Simple Gifts: Just Curious / Miracles / Change of Heart / Double Exposure (Westmoreland, #3.5) - Judith McNaught, Jude Deveraux Miracles - 3/5 stars
Nicholas DuVille's story should have been a full novel. He deserves it since he's just so charming.

Double Exposure - 3/5 stars
Letter to My Daughter - Maya Angelou Filled with worldly wisdom that cheers a woman on because Maya Angelou had been hit by life real hard yet she kept going. Go, Girl! Fighting!
The Next Always (Inn BoonsBoro Trilogy #1) - Nora Roberts The first Nora Roberts book I read. This made me fall in love with the Montgomery brothers (and I agree that there's just something sexy with a man wearing a tool belt :D) and made me read the rest of the books in the trilogy. Though I find the story very romantic, I'm not so fond of ghosts interacting with characters in the real world hence the 3/5 rating.
A Holiday Of Love : Miracles / Change of Heart / Daniel and the Angel / Hark! The Herald - Judith McNaught;Jude Deveraux;Arnette Lamb;Jill Barnett Miracles - 3/5 stars
Nicholas DuVille's story should have been a full novel. He deserves it since he's just so charming.
Night Whispers - Judith McNaught Is Noah Maitland the hero in this novel or is this story all about Sloan Reynolds only? Noah Maitland: bystander; not much participation as the story develops.
The Queen's Confession - Victoria Holt What if the controversial queen of France actually felt and thought the same as what's in this book?
